Jošanička Banja (20º45’21” east longitude and 43º23’25” north latitude) is located on the slopes of Kopaonik (24 km), at an altitude of 555 meters, in the valley of the Jošanica River and its tributary Samokovka. It occupies an area of 360 ha. It belongs to Raška municipality. According to the 2012 census, the settlement Jošanička Banja has 1,036 inhabitants and with surrounding villages 1,412 inhabitants. The water of its springs, in terms of thermal values, takes the second place in Serbia with a temperature of 77°C.

Jošanička Banja is well connected in terms of traffic considering that it is located on the regional road Raška – Biljanovac – Jošanička Banja – Kopaonik – Brus and on the road Jošanička Banja – Aleksandrovac, and the railway Belgrade – Kraljevo – Kosovska Mitrovica passes 10 km from Jošanička Banja. It is 245 km from Belgrade and 74 km from Kraljevo. Banja is reached by the Belgrade – Niš highway (with separation towards Kraljevo) and the main road Belgrade – Kraljevo – Raška (with separation in Biljanovac).
